The creation of these unique dials involves sourcing the Muonionalusta meteorite from northern Sweden. Due to its high iron content and susceptibility to oxidation, the meteorite slices are kept submerged in a protective liquid throughout the production process. Traditional cutting methods are ineffective, necessitating the use of advanced electroerosion techniques to precisely shape the meteorite to the distinct contours of the Maestro dial. Each dial is composed of two layers: a thin meteorite plate mounted on an anodized aluminum base. The black variant features a dark meteorite paired with a red base plate, while the silver version showcases a lighter meteorite surface on an opaline rhodiated aluminum base. Radial openings on the meteorite expose the vibrant under-layer, adding depth and dimension. The small-seconds display at 6 o'clock is thoughtfully incorporated, symbolizing a meteorite's impact, with the dark model representing the intensity of collision and the light model reflecting the tranquility that follows.
Both Maestro 2.0 Meteorite models are encased in a 39 × 41mm stainless steel frame, with options for a Darkblast or polished finish, and boast a 100-meter water resistance. Powering these exquisite watches is the automatic Swiss manufacture caliber GCA2011, a slim 3.7mm movement offering a 50-hour power reserve and a 4Hz beat frequency. A golden oscillating weight featuring the iconic Gerald Charles honeycomb motif efficiently winds the movement.
